About Me
As a Christian counselor, I am dedicated to providing counseling services which encompass body, mind and spirit. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#5519) having earned my Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology from Francis Marion University in Florence, SC. Being a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the Licensed Professional Counselor Association, I am provided with advocacy, legislation and professional development.
Since 1997, my experience has included working with children, adolescents, families and couples in both community-based and outpatient settings. My background includes, but is not limited to, depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, mood disorders, OCD, self-esteem, stress management, abuse, relationships issues and marriage counseling.
Depending upon the age, developmental stage and unique needs of the client, I utilize a variety of therapeutic strategies using a strength-based, Christian perspective. The goals of therapy are individualized. The direction can change as you share your ideas, concerns, thoughts and feelings about yourself and your situation. The therapeutic environment is safe, honest, and respectful and I encourage you to speak openly and freely about any concerns you have, especially in regards to our progress or the sessions themselves. Likewise, I will also be honest and straightforward with you. Together, with God, we will walk toward personal insight and growth.
